About The Author: E. Yvonne Redal
I was born Estelle Yvonne Redal during the great depression and spent my childhood in poverty. I knew things were tough, but somehow we never felt poor. You see my father was a pastor and his congregations brought milk, eggs or whatever else we needed. They did this instead of giving money they didn’t have.
I have always wanted to write and as a child I spent a lot of time scripting poems and lyrics for songs. As an adult, at home taking care of my children, I took correspondence courses in both The Bible and writing. I was successful and had several short stories and articles published. I even worked at a small newspaper as correspondent and had a column of my own called “Out of my Mind”. However, most of my life was spent in service to church as a parish worker.
In 2003 I had a stoke that changed my life forever. During my stay at the hospital I had a dream where I had written a book about my life. It seemed so real, but when I woke I realized that I would never be able to write again. God has a funny way with things. He doesn’t tell us that we can do something and then not give us the tools. I did recover from that stroke. I am so thankful to God that I have and was able to write my story.
He Leadeth Me – A grandmother’s Story is that dream come true. I hope that when you read it. You will understand how God can take nothing and make it just enough or even go beyond what is possible.
